Can you tell me more about Tabernacle Baptist Church?
We believe that formalism and coldness have no place in that relationship, that genuine caring produces a warmth and closeness that builds the strength of a team or family. The truths of eternity are solemn and serious but Christian service can be fun and lively. There is a time to laugh, a time to cry, a time to work and a time to play and it is better in every case to do those things with people you love and who love you.
What should I expect?
We know visiting a new church can be an intimidating experience so we try our best to make everyone feel welcomed. Our Sunday services have a traditional focus on the Word of God with a mixture of hymns and choruses. Our prayer is that every attender has a sense of the Holy Spirit of God working in his heart during the service time. Our goal is that each attender will grow closer to God as a result of his time with the Word of God and his people.
Our services are a blend of singing, scripture readings, history of Bible characters, proclaiming the Word of God with understandable Bible exposition and application, and prayer.
It is always a joy to see new faces and everyone is invited.

How should I dress?
We welcome Everybody! Some want to dress up when they meet with God. Others dress more comfortably. Jesus accepts us "Just As I Am", but then He begins a work of transformation in our lives drawing us ever closer to him. Our main focus is to help in that work any way we can for every one who comes. You will always be welcome.
Does our church have any denominational affiliation?
No, Our church is Independent, not part of any denomination. We do practice the historical beliefs of the Baptist Churches down through the centuries, but have no national or regional authority governing us. We are fully autonomous.
